In 2020 (during the pandemic) I decided to enrol on an intensive floristry course, not realising it would change my life forever! It unleashed a real passion in me, and a seed was sewn inside my head with the idea to start a career in flowers.
Any florist (which I am now proud to call myself) will tell you that working with flowers is the most joyful, fulfilling experience which takes over your life. Flowers are just so beautiful, delicate, breath-taking and truly delightful. I absolutely love my job!
So, in my mid 40’s I took my first step and left my 28-year career in administration (having been a P.A. in London and more recently an Office Manager in a school). Determined to succeed and set up my own business, ‘Flowers with Finesse’ was born.
Building a small floristry business from the ground up is challenging but anyone who knows me, knows I love a challenge. With the gracious support from my husband and some positive thinking, I am the busiest and happiest in my life. I could not have done any of this without him.
My two sons are grown up now, so this is my time to bloom and blossom! With further training and experience, an eye for detail and my own sense of style, I am enjoying every minute; my job is so varied and rewarding. I enjoy meeting and working with customers and the true happiness of delivering flowers to someone and making their day is truly satisfying.
So, each working day I walk to my floral work studio, put on my apron, pour myself a coffee and begin designing. Breathing in the fresh scent of flowers I have carefully chosen; I create beautiful bespoke arrangements with finesse and love to celebrate the change in seasons as I go!

Wow wow wow what can I say?
Thank you so much, the flowers for the wedding were absolutely stunning and just enhanced the already beautiful Hengrave Hall. The fragrance of the eucalyptus could be enjoyed around the hall and upstairs and added to the winter wedding theme.
The staircase was stunning and the floral displays on the windowsill and altar table were just beautiful. It added a very magical touch to a beautiful wedding. The long gallery tables for the wedding breakfast were gorgeous and everyone commented how wonderful they looked.
I cannot thank you enough for bringing the vision of the wedding to life and so much more, you are extremely talented and I know how many hours you gave up to create the perfect feel for the wedding.
